Hi guys!!! Haven't been here much due to some work and preparation for the Singapore Comic Convention, happening on Sept 1-2. Thank you guys for still coming by once in a while to check on me. :)

Just to let you guys know that I'm trying to help raise some money to help the dogs in Thailand which are suffering from the dog meat trade. It had been something I wanted to do for a while, that is to help animals when I can and with my art. So I decided to try this to help the Soi Dog Foundation. Had donated once to them so that they can use the money to help those animals in any ways they need to, for medication or sterilization. That was a small amount as I'm not very rich. :(

Anyways, I'm going to donate 1 blank cover of my upcoming "Sketchbook 1" to them. That's the picture that I'm drawing. It's still in progress. Will be coloring it soon. And I'll be videoing my coloring process so if you're interest, do check out my Facebook page to be updated. :) After that, it will be up for bidding and more information will be given about it later on.

Animals are living things too so if you're able to, please help them in any way you can, no matter big or small. :)

I am also an animal rights advocate so I greatly appreciate the effort you are making on behalf of these poor pups, not only to raise funds, but awareness. Nothing deserves a life or a death like almost all food-grade animals experience - it truly sickens me.

And really, "the impoverished depend on the meat trade" can in no way be used as an excuse for the torment of these animals - a lot of Asian culture believe the more painful and cruel the death, the more delicious the meat (ie skinning them alive, torturing to death etc) which is god damn ludicrous.

Thanks again for doing this mashi, it really is a great thing to do.

Yes!!! I read that somewhere that they do that to the animal before it becomes food for somebody. That's so sad and cruel. :(

I think I first heard that from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), but it also actually says it in one of those links you posted there. Thanks for posting those - too hard for me to look at much. I'm embarrassingly sensitive to things like that - Human Society commercials make me cry haha

Sometimes, reading some things like that made me have a tear in my eye too. :(

That meat trade is pretty important to the poverty stricken population in Thailand.

I understand your point but I think even it's important for them, they may go to all means to catch a dog and it could be a dog which has an owner. Also, the dogs are treated poorly and some had even died in the cage they're kept in.
